What's the difference between a will and a trust?
A will directs how your assets are distributed after you pass and generally goes through probate. A trust can let assets pass to your beneficiaries without probate court involvement, and can offer more control over timing and conditions. Which one — or both — makes sense depends on your situation.
How do I know if my parent needs a guardianship or a power of attorney?
If your parent can still make decisions but wants help, a power of attorney is often enough. If they’re no longer able to make sound decisions on their own, guardianship may be necessary. We can help you figure out which situation applies.
Does every estate have to go through probate in Kansas?
